Importing Relume Wireframes Into Figma Causes Issues

At a glance

A community member used Relume's AI to create a wireframe, but when importing it to Figma using the plugin, the sections were broken. They found a pile of input fields, checkbox fields, and Lorem ipsum text instead of the expected components and elements. The community member tried various troubleshooting steps, but the issue persisted even with previous projects. Another community member suggested starting the Figma project using the Relume Style Guide, which resolved the issue by replacing a specific nav bar component. However, the community member noted that they did not have to use the Style Guide in previous projects, and the file size became larger when starting with it.

Hi, I used Relume's AI to create a wireframe for a client concept, the wireframes look fine on the Relume site, but when importing to Figma using the plug-in, all the sections are broken. Upon zooming out on Figma, I found a pile of input fields, checkbox fields, and Lorem ipsum text (no components or elements like navs or missing sections from the wireframe).
I've tried closing/reopening the Relume site and Figma, starting over and re-prompting, logging out and back in, restarting my computer, etc... nothing seems to be working.
I tried using the plug-in on Figma to import previous projects I've worked on, and it is doing the same thing.
I've also tried importing one screen at a time and that doesn't work either.
Please help!!!

are you starting your Figma project using our Relume Style Guide?

Hey Matt,

I just tried that, and the attached is what I got. It wants to work, but there are so image and texts that are not converting over properly.
The left is my figma file (starting with the Relume Style Guide and the right screen is what I have on the Relume site.

Let me know what to do next?

Is the nav bar the only issue?

if so can you let me know which nav bar component that is?

Did you modify any of the core components within that file before importing?

Nav bar 10 - I did not modify the component

another question - I did not have to start with the Relume Style Guide in any of my previous projects, using the plug in pulled in the screens and components just fine. Is this a new process? The file becomes extremely large when i start with the style guide.

understood - its mostly that the kit is more reliable in results. I would say that the intention is that it would work - at least for now. But file size concern is something we’ll take under advisement. Especially if there are any import issues 9 times out of 10 importing into a kit resolves the blocker. In all of my testing under ideal conditions, importing wireframes into an “empty file” works just fine. Hope that helps!

Thanks Matt - i just grabbed a new #10 component from the library and replaced it, so all good for now. Have a great rest of the day!
