I've been using Relume for a bit and imported a couple of sites from relume into Figma but when i tried to import my Relume wireframes into Figma today they didn't show up correct. All the design components are all bunched up in the left hand corner. I've tried logging out of both figma and relume and closing the browser and re-opening it. I also tried using the Figma native app for mac os and had the same issue. Here is an example of one of the pages:
Well I made a duplicate of an older file that had the relume figma kit. If the figma kit was updated would an old file with the figma kit not work anymore? Also if that is true is it possible to import the figma kit into an existing figma file each time?
The way I work is I have a figma file that I duplicate each time that has all of the pages and templates I need in it already so if I can import the relume figma kit into that file each time that would make it easier for me.
I guess I could always just import it into another file and copy it over but it would nice if I could just add it to a file.
were there modifications done to the core components (purple diamonds) in the old file? If so, the import plugin doesn't know what to do with the text since the components were modified. Highly advisable not to modify the core components but rather make an instance, detach, and then make them into local components if you want the same layouts to apply to multiple pages. Hope that makes sense.
I sort of get what you are saying maybe but don't know how to fix it, I think. How do I start over and make sure that it works from now on?
The cleanest path forward would be to duplicate a new Relume Figma Kit, and make all the necessary customizations to the kit to match the previous file, and then import your screens from site builder should work fine. Avoid font variables in Figma and ensure that any custom fonts are fully installed on your operating system.
