Importing Relume Style Guide to an Existing Webflow Project

At a glance

The community member is new to Relume and asks if the Relume Style Guide can be imported into an existing Webflow project. Another community member responds that the Relume Style Guide can be cloned into a new project, and the page-wrapper from the style guide can be copied and pasted into the primary project. The community member will need to manually link variables to components, but this allows them to use the latest components without much issue. The official recommendation is to build projects into a cloned Relume Style Guide, but the community member understands the desire to use the components on an existing project.

you can clone our Relume Style Guide into a new project, copy the page-wrapper from the style guide page and paste it into your primary project. Then you'll take note of the variables in the cloned project and replicate those same variables. You'll still need to manually link variables to components when you copy them in but you'd be setting colors up manually regardless really. The primary benefit you'll have is being able to copy in the latest components without much issue.

If you are not seeing certain elements, be sure to check the color or background color settings - if you do not see a color swatch, just simply reset the color (alt + click on the blue label) and you should be back in business.

Our official recommendation is to build your projects (or rebuild them) into a cloned Relume Style Guide, but we understand wanting to use the components on an existing project, so this is the way to do that.
