Getting Clients Comfortable with Webflow over Wordpress

At a glance

The community member is discussing the challenges of pitching Webflow over WordPress to clients. They find that clients are more familiar with WordPress and are hesitant to try the newer Webflow platform. The community member compares WordPress to Android, with more customization options, while Webflow is like an iPhone - slick, fast, and modern. They also mention the hosting aspect, where they try to encourage clients to pay directly to Webflow and have full ownership of their website. The community member is seeking input from others on how they approach this situation.

hi all! Not really a relume question but would love to hear how people go around this.
Getting a bit of pushback pitching Webflow over wordpress. People just have heard of have used WP at some point so everyone is a bit scared of the new cool kid on the block. I usually say both are great options and WP is more like an android with more random customizations and webflow is more like the iPhone, slick, fast, modern etc. Then comes the hosting - do you host the sites for your clients? I try and tell them they pay directly to Webflow and have full ownership of everything.
How do you work? TY!
