General guidance for editing off-screen text in webflow

At a glance

hello, can someone please tell me, what is the general guidance when you try to edit text that is off the screen? for example, the banner marquee tool has half of the class not visible in webflow so you cant edit the text to what you want it to say. my thought is you could just duplicate the class of what you want to have written or copy paste the text over again and just delete the other ones. is there a better way to do it ? i noticed some of the components have similar stuff to this.

I think youโ€™d want to use the navigator (as shown above) and open the text-wrapper divs to find the text blocks / headings / paragraphs themselves, then go to settings on the right hand side of the interface to edit the text

hi emily, i'm not sure i understand what you mean. the text-wrapper divs are not visible on the page itself b/c it is a marquee, it is the infinite scroll marquee banner. only one of the banner12_marquee's are visible on the page, the other ones are like off to the far right or far left not visible on the page itself

The screenshot you provided is of the navigator, which is really handoff for off-screen elements. If you click the arrow to the left of banner12_text-wrapper, you'll open up that div and inside it will be a text element. Select that and then go to settings to edit the text

If you send a read-only link I can record a Loom video to show you exactly what I mean

ohhh i see what you mean now. i never knew you could edit the text within the settings there. always something new to learn in webflow. i always edited text directly within the page itself in the middle. problem solved! thank you!

Great, glad I could help ๐Ÿ˜Š
