Fixing the "Sign Up" issue

Anyway, do you think this can be fixed? It's been an issue for a long time where it says "Sign Up"

hard to tell - where is this? Figma? Webflow? Site Builder?

Hello Webflow after importing. Happens on both copy and paste and import

And you have class sync on?

is it duplicating the class or? Can you share a read-only?

Seems to happen even on fresh import on a fresh design. No dupes even if its a blank layout, with no global styles (other than the clone)

that's layout 1, right?

I literally just pasted it, and its fine

you have the chrome extension installed with class sync on yeah?

im almost certain that secondary button class is duplicated though

I see it happening a lot, sometimes Webflow will import it fine, and then Webflow sometimes does a hard crash and does that

it might be the app preventing a ghost class

which trust me, you dont want that

I've built full sites it never happened, but I have other sites that it happens all the time

hmm okay well yeah I'd say its not going to be as easy to fix as it may seem to be completely honest with you, its a lot like whack-o-mole - however the best thing you can do to help us is to:

  1. Record a loom of you replicating the issue
  2. Share a read-only link so that we can inspect the project and its classes/styles/structures
  3. Let us know which import method you used to replicate the issue if its not obvious in your loom video

If you could provide any of this, via DM that would be super super helpful for us and we can try to track this mole down and whack em

even if you just did 2 of the 3 things above, would help tremendously

I'll send you a read only if I can if not I'll send you a loom

Hi I found the issue - Defently something to look into. When you import the file into Webflow, it trys to create a duplicate of it when creates a ghost version of the button. I just tested this out. It actually pops up a warning in the top right as well that it says something about "deduplicate manually"

okay, but im trying to recall why it does this - is it because the style guide was modified before hand?

my typical workflow, I never run into this issue

We don't usually do it

Here is a read only let me import it again so you an see it

I did report to engineering some interesting things I did find while trying to troubleshoot this with you - and I think its all related - and it doesn't sound like it'll be an "easy fix" unfortunately

You'll see it right under the footer

got it, yeah I also see some duplicate button classes in there already, which is likely only compounding the issue but at the end of the day might not matter because of the core issue

Any idea of what the possible fix might be?

Hello here is the log from Webflow. Also this happens on new site imports now too:

Also to note - If I manually copy and paste from Relume to Webflow, it works fine no issue but if I do the Webflow site importer that's when things go bad

hmm I just imported 2 or 3 different sites, some with 5 pages, some with over 15 and none of them had any failures or issues. I do see that we have a few bugs being worked on as we speak, so maybe there's an edge case you are hitting that is related to one of those.

I'm assuming you are starting from a clean Relume Style Guide for Webflow clone yeah?
