Exporting Wireframes from Relume into Figma

At a glance

The community member is new to exporting wireframes from Relume into Figma and has noticed that the frames created are not components, which is not what they were expecting. The Relume components have exported but are not linked to the wireframes. Another community member explains that this was done intentionally to support editing features, and provides a link to more information about it. The original poster expresses disappointment, as they were hoping Relume would help remove the time-consuming process of low-fidelity wireframing, but if the components are not created on import into Figma, it becomes less useful for their team.

Useful resources

Hey there! πŸ‘‹
I am new to exporting wireframes from Relume into Figma. I have exported it ok. I notice however that the frames its created are not components. Is that correct? Not what I was expecting. The Relume components have exported but are not linked to those in the wireframe. Am I doing something wrong? 🧐

Yeah this was done intentionally to support editing features. You can read more about that here:

Thank you. I found this document in posted in another question back in September this morning. Been talking to my team about it. Such a shame as I don't think we will be able to continue to use the full Relume at present if this is not supported. I have been using it to trial a project. I had huge faith that Relume would help remove the time consuming lo-fi wire framing but if it cannot create components on import into Figma it kinda becomes pointless for us. Shame I didn't spot this before.
