Exploring The Relume-Figma-Webflow Workflow

At a glance

The community member is an agency owner and designer/developer exploring a Relume -> Figma -> Webflow workflow. They are having trouble with importing wireframes from Relume to Figma, as the frames are not automatically placed, preventing them from using the Present feature in Figma. Another community member provided a solution, suggesting to ungroup the full set of wireframes and then the homepage frames to leave just the frames, which is what Figma needs to present. The original poster was able to resolve the issue after watching a walkthrough, though they were unsure of the exact steps they took.

Useful resources

Hi all, I am an agency owner and designer/developer coming from a HTML/CSS background - we’ve used Adobe XD as our Design & Prototyping tool for years. We are exploring the Relume -> Figma -> Webflow workflow for our agency for a more efficient workflow. It all seems super promising, but one thing, that has us stumped right now, is why when we import our wireframes from Relume to Figma - it does not automatically place them into Frames and therefore it is not possible to use the Present feature in Figma. We are just so used to be able to preview it easily from XD so just wondering about that. Might just be a workflow difference between Figma and XD? Or maybe it’s something super obvious we are missing since we are new to Figma… - thank you in advance for any insight you have!

Nevermind, was watching ’s walkthrough (thank you!) and honestly not sure what I did differently, but it’s working now 😌 https://www.loom.com/share/e44d1a2bbf274be1a7e93beae5b5fb99?t=1503&sid=50dc7cf1-9f7c-4475-a718-890d0c8735da

Hey there! Yeah so we group the homepage frames together - so if you ungroup the full set of wireframes (1 group) and then ungroup the set of homepage frames (another group) - you'll be left with just the frames - and that is what Figma needs to present - are the frames to be top level. Keyboard shortcut - cmd + shift + G - so if you select all of the groups together and hit that keyboard shortcut twice, you'll be all set.

That must have been the step I was missing before! Thank you so much! So glad I joined this channel!

Welcome to the community! So happy you are here! 🙌
