Experimenting with bento layouts for blog page hero section

At a glance

The community member is working on using Bento layout 525 for their blog page hero section. They have used 3 instances of the blog collection list to display 4 blog posts: one for the big card on the left, one for the two small cards on the top right, and one for the bigger card on the bottom right. They are wondering if this approach is "okay" and if it will slow down site loading. Another community member responds that they consider this approach fine, as they have done it many times in client projects, and they doubt it would have any noticeable effect on loading.

Love the Bento layouts! I'm working on using layout 525 for my blog page hero section. After a lot of experimentation, I have my first four blog posts (my only four at this point...) to display in the layout. I did this by using 3 instances of the blog collection list. One for the big card on the left, one for the two small cards on the top right, and one for the bigger card on the bottom right. For each collection list, I set limits to show the right number of posts. For example, the big card on the left is set to show 1 and start with 1.

So, that works. Is using multiple collection lists in this way "okay?" Does it slow down site loading or anything like that? (Coming from WordPress and still trying to understand what you should and shouldn't do in Webflow.)

I would consider this fine. I have done this many times in client projects. If anyone else has opinions or better options, I'm all ears.

I would doubt that it would have any noticeable effect on loading.

Thanks Always appreciate your quick replies
