Editing component colors

Hello! I want to use some components, but when I want to edit the colors I get this Error. How can I resolve it?

In regards to the style guide into webflow on an existing project.

New project imported just fine with the 'create a webflow' and site
Existing - we deleted and pasted the page-wrapper so there is nothing there. Its got CMS containers in there. Something is hidden that is stacking 6 sections into 1 with the footer on top.

Is there a bullet proof way to transfer this without any tinkering afterwards -- I see a production site up soon and don't know how to fix or restore.
