Hi all, this is a little embarrassing to share with a client when they realise it was created by an AI focused tool that costs less than £40 a month. Why isn't this white labelled or at the very least not Relume branded? To top it off, its literally the one way we can share it with a client as we do not use Figma. We are Adobe XD users.. Thoughts ?
totally understand and hear what you are saying. We've heard this feedback before.
I want it to be clear that my intention is not to undermine your feelings about this or to brush those feelings under the rug - they are real, and unfortunately not as easy as you make it sound. We have it on our list.
I would say though, that one strategy around this could be less about how we created a website using an AI site builder tool, and more about setting the right expectations with the client. Instead of "hiding" that you are using an AI tool to help generate ideas faster, why not embrace it and say that you are using it to get from zero to something quicker, and that your expertise and years of experience (that I'm assuming you may have) - is what your client actually hired you for? What if using AI provides a faster, but also better end product? Enhances it? What if the Site Builder was something you invited your clients in to experience in real-time collaboration, and you showed them the millions of micro decisions you have to still make as an expert to adjust what the AI has generated?
Fold the client more into the experience.
Honestly, i do the same thing as you right now, and for some of the same reasons. These are questions I have for myself as well.
Does this highlight an insecurity of my skills? Am I undervaluing what I contribute as a whole to the project and what value the end product has?
To me this is more of an expectations issue than a relume-should-be-white-label issue.
Just my two cents, personal opinions and musings. Take them with a grain of salt or tell me to go pound pavement, whichever you prefer. Food for thought.
Appreciate your feedback! ✌🫶
Thanks for the inner workings of your mind.. This has nothing to do with anything other than it should be white labelled. At no point in time did I agree that you would use the opportunity to market to my client & I have no intention of explaining to my client the list of tools I use in order to do my job. Thats way more than most clients want to hear. Equally at this point in time, I am ONLY trying out Relume. Supporting a new solution to see if it can add value if anything. On the basis that we dont and wont use Webflow, dont and wont use Figma.. its already on the backfoot against our chosen stack. Nontheless, it still has a purpose... Eitherway, if you remove the branding from where it should not be.. you will have a wider audience. If you integrate with more page builders, you will have a wider audience etc etc. Kindly let me know when you fix this.
no worries - was just throwing out a perspective. It was added to our roadmap. Thanks again for your feedback! Let me know if you have any other questions or feedback.
