Creating a Sitemap: Generating Sections vs. Full Sitemap

@Leon S yeah this was a pattern that changed for some reason - I noticed it awhile back and I'm not sure it was the best change but in short, no this is no longer possible.

Can you give me more context as to why you personally want to be able to create the homepage first before the rest of the sitemap is generated?

Hey Matt, so in all my builds I create the home page first then use reusable sections and elements across other pages. What I was hoping for is that I can create the home page refine it then create the other pages make global sections where needed, just sitemap creation on Relume needs some refinement in my experience before going live

then based on my home page sitemap and sections it will create the other pages with better context

So there's no way to do this?

in Relume

naw as mentioned above - this used to be the pattern but it has since changed in the last couple of months so now there is no way to do this. I'll have to make a case to the product team to change this back or to better understand why the pattern changed in the first place.

yeah that would be good what the vision is, in fact the way it is right now is kinda making more work for me tbh

love your guys' concept though

well yeah, on average Relume is saving most users about 30 hours but yeah, I totally understand what you mean. Its crazy how a small thing like that can have such a rippling effect on the workflow.

because when I regenerate it regenerates the entire sitemap again instead of just the sections within the page

right

of course it's saving me time but it just creates unnecessary extra tasks

yeah it used to just generate the homepage, then you could make some edits, etc and then just hit continue

yeah that's great

who knows, maybe it was unintentional - lets hope that was the case

I always do the home page to begin
