Copying images into cms content field

At a glance

The community members discuss the inability to copy and paste images directly into a CMS content field, which requires manually adding and uploading the images. One community member explains that the issue is because the copied image is hosted elsewhere, and Webflow requires the image to be uploaded to their media library. The community members agree this could be improved, but doubt it will be addressed soon. They also discuss the possibility of changing the primary locale without losing translations, but are unsure of the solution and suggest checking the Webflow forums.

Offtopic: Is there a way to copy/paste images into CMS content field? Or is this only possible with adding the image element and uploading them manually? Pretty annoying when using Tools to create blog posts and I have to do that many steps manually ....

ah yeah feel your pain here big time - I copy whatever I can into it and it'll create a broken image and then you have to replace with the actual image. The reason for this is that the file you are copying/pasting it hosted somewhere else (or on your computer) but Webflow needs it uploaded so they can store it.

I agree this could be improved - doubt it will anytime soon though.

Meh, sad it cant just use the pasting as a source and save it in the media library on paste πŸ˜„

But that makes auto-blogging way harder πŸ˜„

Another topic: Do you know if it is possible to change the primary locale somehow without losing the translations?

ooh that one I am not 100% sure on to be honest

would check out the webflow forums on that one
