Considering Webflow for a Multimedia Blog Site

At a glance

The community member is considering migrating a blog from Squarespace to Webflow and is unsure if Webflow is a good platform for building a multimedia blog site that supports Google AdSense, aside from WordPress. They provide examples of blog sites they are aiming for, such as Byrdie and PopSugar.

In the comments, another community member suggests that Webflow could be a solid option, noting that Google AdSense can be applied to any website, and that the simplicity and power of Webflow's CMS could outweigh any potential downsides. However, the original poster is looking for an example of a blog site hosted on Webflow that incorporates ads, as they would like a reference before mapping out the new site for their client.

Useful resources

Hey Lumer Community,

I have a quick blog-related question. I'm considering migrating a blog from Squarespace to Webflow, but I'm unsure about the best platform for building a multimedia blog site that supports Google AdSense, aside from WordPress. Do you think Webflow is a solid option for this?

For reference, the direction I’m aiming for is as follows:
https://www.byrdie.com/
https://www.popsugar.com/

Thanks in advance for your insights!

yeah I really don't see why not. Are you using any kind of ad network or just straight from google adsense? I'm sure google has a wordpress plugin that helps "automate" some of the placements but that seems like a rather minor downside to being able to have the power and simplicity of Webflow CMS, at least in my (very biased) opinion.

Hey Matt, I appreciate your response. I'm currently looking for an example of a blog site hosted on Webflow that incorporates ads. I realize Google AdSense can be applied to any website, but I’d like a solid reference to look at before I start mapping out the new site for my client.
