Batch changing fill color for text styles in figma

At a glance

The community member is asking if it's possible to batch change the fill color for specific text styles in Figma, as they want to change the color of all 'Normal' text styles across multiple frames. They mention that currently they have to manually change the fill color for each individual text layer, which would be a tedious job.

In response, another community member suggests using variables for text colors in order to batch change them, and also recommends a Figma plugin called Batch Styler that could help with this when using a design system. The original poster thanks the community member for the suggestion and says they will check it out.

Hi all! Is it possible to ‘batch change’ the fill color for specific text styles in Figma? In my example, all ‘Normal’ text styles in the Relume Style Guide are black, but I want to change this color across all frames. Currently, it seems like I have to select every individual text layer and change the fill manually. Is there a way to do this more efficiently? Otherwise, it will be a very tedious job!

First of all you’d want to use variables for text colours in order to batch change it.

There’s also a useful plugin called Batch Styler in Figma that I think could help you with this. It’s very usefyl when using a design system.

Thanks a lot for your reply, let me check that out!
