Automatically update mobile version in figma when changing desktop version

At a glance

The community member posted a question about automatically updating the mobile version in Figma when changes are made to the desktop version. Another community member responded that while it's possible to update colors, buttons, and text styles across desktop and mobile in Figma, syncing the styling of sections or components across breakpoints is not possible by default. However, they suggested that with some auto-layout setup, it could be achieved. The original poster thanked the respondent for the assistance.

Hi Team,
Is there a simple way to automatically update the mobile version in Figma when I make changes to the desktop version? I'm not sure if this is related to our discussion about "syncing classes."

any help would be appreciated

you would only be able to update colors, buttons, and text styles across desktop and mobile in Figma. You would not be able to sync styling of sections or components across those breakpoints by default in Figma. I am sure with some autolayout setup you could make it happen though. I would dig around Youtube - there are some really smart designers out there!

Thanks, Matt. I appreciate the assist!
