Adjusting the Vh of the Horizontal Scroll Gallery

At a glance

A community member is seeking help with adjusting the VH (viewport height) of a horizontal scroll gallery, as setting it to 100% results in excessive whitespace above and below. The community members express that this is a challenging issue to conceptualize and implement, as the mechanics of horizontal scrolling make it difficult to resolve the whitespace problem without breaking the component. There is no explicitly marked answer provided.

Hi all, was wondering if anyone can help with being able to adjust the VH of the horizontal scroll gallery? I’ve seen in several tutorials that the VH need to be a 100%, but then that results in excessive whitespace above and below. Is there a way to be able to have horizontal scroll, without the excess spacing - without breaking the component?

I am having a hard to conceptualizing how this would even be possible to be completely honest...this is tricky. I would have to sit with this for a bit to even know how to unpack it.

Yeah, from my understanding of the mechanics of the horizontal scroll - I also felt similar, that it’s a challenging thing to implement. Perhaps I’m making a mistake in execution, however the whitespace above/below is a challenge!
