Adding a "skip to main content" link without shifting the logo

The community member is having trouble adding a "skip to main content" link to their website, as it is shifting the logo in the navigation. They have placed the skip link in the right area, set it to be off-screen until focused, and this works, but it is pushing the logo to the right.
